Bombard. Origin Country: Pakistan. 1 lbs. Made by Mid-East.

This cocus wood Bombard is 12.25 inches long, the bell is 3 inches in diameter. Comes with a cane reed.

The bombard is a small, double-reed instrument, similar to a soprano shawm in range but shorter in length. A bombard in the key of D is slightly shorter than a soprano recorder in the key of C. These play in D with all the holes closed.

Bombards are still used in some Celtic music. They are quite loud, despite their small size. Their tone is high and penetrating.
