DetailProduct Description
The MXL FR-401M boundary mic is designed to pickup multiple sources from a distance while avoiding unwanted sounds from behind the mic. Some common applications include recording interviews, live concerts, studio recording sessions, or plugging directly into a video camera to make sure you get all the audio on set.
From the ManufacturerThe FR-401M captures sound from three sides, allowing you to record a room while rejecting noises from the back of the mic. It’s ideal for recording a live performance but not the audience. The back of mic should be directed at the audience to avoid recording it. The MXL FR-401M can also be used for stage performances, interviews, podcasting, and studio recording sessions where room sound is desired. The FR-401M can be used with a video camera as well to incorporate ambient sounds into the video.
