Why is the ukulele I just received always out of tune?
New instruments will take a few days to adapt to the tension of the strings pulling at the body, this can also be affected by temperature and humidity. During this time you'll need to adjust the tuning as and when required at the beginning.
What ukulele size is best for beginner?
1.Soprano 21”: Bright tone, portable.
2.Concert 23”: Ideal for all ages—balanced sound & comfortable fret spacing.
3.Tenor 26”: Fuller volume, suited for fingerstyle.
4.Avoid baritone (Different tuning) & 17 Mini (requires seasoned player)
How to maintain proper humidity for my ukulele?
Store at 45-55% RH. Use a soundhole humidifier in dry climates. In humidity >60%, add silica gel packs in the case. Never place near heaters/AC vents. Check weekly with a hygrometer.
What’s the safe way to clean my ukulele?
Wipe body/strings with a dry microfiber cloth after each use. For grime, slightly dampen cloth (no chemicals!). Use a soft brush for fretboard grooves. Polish max 2x/year with uke-specific wax. Never use furniture polish!
