Built with Friedrich's trusted construction and efficient heat pump, it's a durable option for replacing old PTAC models. It uses 9,000 BTUs of cooling power, multiple temperature modes, and a maintenance-friendly design to keep rooms fresh all year.

• Two-Motor Design: Features one indoor and one outdoor motor. This permits the indoor motor to run slower, reducing indoor sound levels without giving up heating or cooling power
• High-Efficiency Rotary Compressor: This rotary compressor maximizes the durability and efficiency of the Friedrich 9,000 BTU PTAC as the heat is running.
• Quick Start and Stop: The two permanently lubricated fans are delayed to prevent starting or stopping at the same time as the compressor, ensuring quiet operation.

Unique Heating Design

This Friedrich PTAC uses less energy than traditional heaters by using a heat pump to transfer warm air instead of creating it. This model includes a backup 3.6 kW electric heater for temperatures below 40 degrees F when the heat pump can’t operate.
