The Friedrich 9,600 BTU ZoneAire Select PTAC with Heat Pump provides the ultimate comfort for every day of the year. Its powerful AC and heat pump provides reliable cooling and heating in spaces up to 450 square feet with an airflow of 390 CFM. Designed to fit standard Friedrich wall sleeves, grills, and thermostats, this Energy Management-compatible PTAC makes installation and user operation simple.

• 265V:  This Friedrich ZoneAire Select PTAC model provides 9,000 BTU of cooling power and up to 8,200 BTU of heating power while maintaining an 11.5 EER. (PZH09R3SC)

Ultra-Quiet and Durable Design

Friedrich PTACs use high-quality materials and an ultra-efficient design to reduce sound levels and increase durability for 24/7 temperature control. 

• Even Air Distribution: The tangential blower wheel provides a wide airflow path, quietly and evenly distributing it throughout the room.
• Durable Construction: The galvanized zinc-coated steel wall sleeve and steel base pan are powder-coated with a polyester finish for durability and sound reduction.
• Corrosion Protection: The indoor and outdoor coils are coated in Diamonblue Advanced corrosion protection, and the outdoor coils are encased in aluminum endplates to withstand harsh outdoor environments.
• Dual Motors: Features two permanently lubricated fan motors, one inside and one outside, so the indoor motor can run slower. This reduces sound levels without lowering performance. 
• Quick Start and Stop: The two permanently lubricated fans are delayed to prevent starting or stopping at the same time as the compressor, ensuring quiet operation.
• High-Efficiency Rotary Compressor: This rotary compressor maximizes the durability and efficiency of the Friedrich 9,600 BTU PTAC as the heat is running.
• Vibration Isolators: The rotary compressor is mounted with vibration isolators to ensure quiet and smooth operation of the compressor.

Powerful and Efficient Heating

This Friedrich PTAC‘s reliable heat pump uses less energy than traditional heaters, by transferring warm air rather than creating it. Its backup 3.6 kW electric heater provides heat when temperatures reach below 40 degrees Fahrenheit and the heat pump can’t operate.

• Instant Heat Mode: Quickly heat a room to the desired temperature with the 3.6 kW electric heater and then maintain that temperature with the heat pump for increased comfort.
• Temperature Monitoring: This PTAC will test the room temperature every nine minutes to maintain the desired temperature.
• Temperature Limiting: Set a high and low-temperature limit range to reduce energy usage. 
• Thermostat Capable: Its pop-out wiring module makes connecting it to quick and easy.
• Electronic Defrost Control: The electric heater can provide additional heat to increase the heat pump efficiency. 
• Freeze Protection: When set to auto heating, if an unoccupied room temperature reaches below 50 degrees Fahrenheit, the electric heater will automatically start, preventing the heat pump from freezing.

• Internal Diagnostic Program: This self-diagnosing program runs factory tests to reduce problems by alerting maintenance of component or operating problems.
• Air filters: The washable filters prevent airborne particles from reaching the internal components and extend the machine's life expectancy.
• Dehumidification: Remove between 1.1 to 1.37 pints of moisture in an hour to reduce humidity.
• Fresh Air Damper: Open this damper to bring in fresh, filtered outdoor air.
